Just 25 km from Limoges, don't miss a visit to the martyred village of Oradour-sur-Glane. This historic site bears witness to the horrors of World War II, when in 1944 an entire village was tragically destroyed by Nazi forces. To this day, the village in ruins has been kept just as it was, and offers a poignant and moving experience for visitors, with a memorial dedicated to the victims.

In the heart of Limoges, the Limoges Aquarium welcomes you in a family atmosphere. This aquarium, housed in a former underground train station, offers the chance to see a wide variety of aquatic species, from exotic fish to more local creatures.

One of the architectural wonders of Limoges is inarguably the Saint-Étienne Cathedral, a true Gothic gem. Dating from the 13th century, this cathedral is impressive owing to its stained glass windows and sculpted details. After exploring this building, relax in the magnificent Jardin de l’Évêché garden.

Limoges-Bellegarde Airport is around ten kilometers from the city centre, making it easy for visitors from all over France and beyond to get to the region. From there you can easily get to the main tourist sites of Limoges in just a few minutes.
